A price needs a clear scope
Start by defining the support you need. A single payment module adjustment, occasional small requests and long-term technical care are three different situations. One hourly rate does not describe them all.
Ask for the scope of work, the rules for using your time allowance and the process for handling outages. Then compare offers. We keep current amounts in one place, our PrestaPohotovost pricing, so articles and service offers do not show conflicting prices.
One-off support
This suits a specific smaller task. Describe the outcome, such as fixing an error or configuring an add-on. Before work starts, confirm the time included in the package and what happens if more time is needed.
A package with a set number of hours is not an unlimited repair at a fixed price. If the problem turns out to be larger, approve any additional work first. Diagnosing the fault and fixing the fault also take different amounts of effort.
Prepaid hours
These suit a store needing changes from time to time without a regular monthly workload. Check the package size, validity, minimum billing increment and reporting format.
A useful time report shows the date, task description, time used and remaining balance. Ask what happens after the allowance runs out. Prepaying hours does not automatically establish an emergency support agreement.
Monthly maintenance
For ongoing care, compare specific activities: technical maintenance, monitoring, updates, adjustments and consultation. Establish which tasks happen regularly and which require a request. Agree on unused-hour carryover and approval for additional work.
The definition of support matters. Responding to a request, starting work and resolving a fault are separate milestones. A guarantee for one does not automatically cover the others. Check the exact terms for your chosen package.
Five questions before ordering
- What is included, and what costs extra?
- How is work reported, and how long are prepaid hours valid?
- Who approves changes and spending beyond the agreed budget?
- How are outages reported, and what support has been agreed?
- Who manages backups, access credentials and documentation of changes?
Taking over a neglected store sometimes requires a separate initial assessment. Keep this cost separate from ongoing care unless the offer explicitly includes both.
Technical care and marketing need different briefs
Maintenance supports technical operation and agreed changes. Campaigns, content and repeat purchases need their own objectives and evaluation. PrestaShop maintenance covers the technical work, while Blue System handles a broader marketing brief.
You do not need to choose a precise package at the start. Send your store URL and examples of tasks from recent months. We will recommend a suitable way of working together.
